American Automobile Association (AAA) consists of 51 independently operated North American motor clubs. Its national headquarters are based in Heathrow, Florida. This not-for-profit member service organization numbers over 51 million members. AAA provides its members with a great range of services.

AAA (pronounced as “triple-A”) was founded on the fourth of March 1902, in Chicago, Illinois. At those far-off days, when cars have only started to become a part of American life, nine motor clubs (Automobile Club of America, Chicago Automobile Club, Grand Rapids Automobile Club, Philadelphia Automobile Club, Rhode Island Automobile Club, Rhode Island Automobile Club, Automobile Club of Utica, Long Island Automobile Club and Princeton University Automobile Club) teamed-up and formed the  Triple-A, which originally numbered 1,000 members.

AAA was the first to print road maps (1905) and hotel guides (1917). In 1921, it opened School Safety Patrol Program, which was followed by other driver safety programs. AAA organization was growing and expanding across the country with en enormous pace.

Today Triple-A offers a great variety of products and services, including life health, automobile and homeowners insurance, as well as related travel services as cruise and airline tickets, maps and directions for trips, towing, cruise and airline tickets, car rentals, reservations and many more.

AAA helps in planning trips, provides necessary travel information, financial and car purchasing information, as well as financial services and insurance policies. Moreover, AAA offers its customers services related to car fixing, different kinds of insurance products, including health insurance and annuity and financial services such as credits.
