As a part of Admiral Group, Admiral is one of the most notable car insurance specialists. The company was founded in January 1993. Admiral’s head offices are situated in Cardiff, Wales and in Capital Tower. It also operates in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Newport and in Swansea.

In September 2004, Admiral Group floated on the London Stock Exchange. Today the company employs over 3,500 workers and serves over 2,5 million customers. In 2010 the company’s overall revenue amounted 1,58 billion pounds.

Admiral provides insurance policies not only for people who are traditionally referred to a safer category of drivers. It is mainly specialized in writing low cost car insurance for drivers, who currently pay high premiums, as younger drivers, people driving performance cars, as well as for drivers living in cities.

Admiral also offers MultiCar insurance. MultiCar enables two or more people in the same household save money by insuring their cars on one policy. Generally, two drivers and two cars get a 10% discount. The discount may exceed 23% if 4/5 cars are insured on one policy.

Admiral’s policyholders also have an opportunity to save money with their Bonus Accelerator. Safe drivers get No Claims Bonus and the more bonuses one has, the more money he/she can save. The company gives a year’s No Claims Bonus in just ten months. At the end of ten months, a driver gets a renewal which is based on another full year’s No Claims Bonus. In case of switching to another insurer Admiral gives proof of the No Claims Bonus a driver has earned with them.

At the end of each year, Admiral auto-renews car insurance. Admiral performs this even if the customer does not own the car any more, and it will do this until asked to do otherwise. This enables policyholders have their insurances renewed without having to remember to do this.
