The Government Employees Insurance Company is one of the most popular and reliable car insurance companies the U.S. The company sells private auto insurances in all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. It is the third largest company in the U.S.

At first, GEICO’s customers were only government workers, as they had steady income and were considered to be more responsible, but in 1958 they started writing policies for other customers as well.

Leo Goodwin and his wife Lillian tried their best to offer clients the lowest rates possible and still make money on selling policies. Nowadays GEICO’s policyholders still get low prices, outstanding customer service, and excellent coverage.
